Backmount - Front
Non-DominantBackmount
Your partner has your back, so your first job is your neck, not the escape. Two hands defend the collar, your chin stays down, and you keep your shoulders moving so they cannot settle their chest on you. Then work toward the mat: slide your back down to the floor on the side where their chest is, kill the hook on that side, and come out on top of their legs rather than in front of them.
Defense
Defend against submissions and attacks from your partner.
Goals
Back Mount Survival:Learn neck safety and safe-side awareness
Protect your neck first and learn which side is the safe one to work toward. Surviving the position comes before escaping it.
